We are beginning to see that the old command-and-control model of leadership doesn’t work for the agile, creative and personally fulfilling companies, organisations, communities and families of the 21st Century. Our world yearns for a new model of leadership that is inclusive, collaborative and flexible while unlocking the dynamism in every aspect of our lives.

Systems Oriented Leadership requires a different set of skills from traditional leadership. ORSC holds leadership as a role that belongs to all team members and is not only a job description. Systems Oriented Leadership involves the forging of alliances across organisational and even national boundaries and different cultures where resources must be shared. The Systems Oriented Leader focuses on the whole system and not only the individual players. It involves helping to ensure the success of a heterogeneous team in service of a common purpose, through sharing power.
